BiographyDr. Raskin maintains a private practice in the Chicago area, and has taught psychiatry at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Brown University, she graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Raskin has published over twenty-five academic works in addition to her three books for the lay public. Dr. Raskin has served as the President of the Illinois Psychiatric Society, and chaired the Family Life Priority Grants Committee of the United Way of Chicago. She has been seen on The Oprah Show, The Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, Canada AM, and has been cited in numerous national magazines, newspapers and radio programs. Named one of Chicago's 100 Women Making a Difference, she was also featured as cybergrrl.com's Woman of the Day. Her books have also been published in England, France, and Japan |
